Latin Maxim -Vis Major

Vis Major is a Latin term used in tort which means ‘Superior Force’ or “An Act done by God” or which occurs naturally and out of the control of human . It is also used as a defence in tort law. The event covered under act of God must occur naturally + there must be an extraordinary occurance of the event.
